Prominent Rift Valley politician Bundotich Zedekiah Kiprop alias Buzeki now wants the Jubilee administration removed from power.
Buzeki, who vied and lost in Uasin Gishu gubernatorial seat contest in 2017, accused the President Uhuru Kenyatta-led government of mismanagement of the economy by setting the wrong priorities.
In a tweet on Monday, he ridiculed government's massive investment in Technical Training Institutes (TTIs) and wondered where the trainees will get jobs at a time when companies are laying off workers and others closing down.
The businessman cum politician blamed unending politicking and graft as the major undoing of the economy, and called for formulation of necessary monetary and fiscal policies to stimulate the shrinking economy.
"The FUSS With TTIs when BLUE CHIP companies are DOWNSIZING OPERATIONS and SACKING staff! JUBILEE must BE discontinued in 2022 if NOT earlier. CLAMOR for POWER and CORRUPTION is killing the ECONOMY. Inject GOK STIMULUS URGENTLY to save the ECONOMY," he posted.
A few months ago, Buzeki ditched Jubilee and joined Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) which is led by former Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto.
He has of late become a harsh critic of the ruling party over what he terms as runaway corruption and failing economy.
"TangaTanga and Kieleweke MUST come to an UNCEREMONIOUS HALT, it is not PART of the JUBILEE manifesto! Focus on VALUE addition and CREATE jobs for the YOUTH “REFERENDUM is a SCAM. Let us fight CORRUPTION and STOP domestic BORROWING to KICKSTART the economy," Buzeki said in a recent tweet.
