The couple has now moved to court seeking to block their arrest over the allegations.

Through their lawyer James Orengo, the businesspersons have asked the court to stop the sleuths from the office of the DPP from arresting them.

According to the couple, they spent their night locked in their office in Naivasha after the detectives from DCI as well as officers from the KRA stormed their company premises ready to arrest them after the order.

Tabitha said that the arrest directive is a scheme to bring her down by her competitors.

She said she was shocked to get the news of an arrest directive through social media. Tabitha asked the DPP to ensure he gets his facts right before charging them at the end of the day.

The billionaires have reiterated that they are innocent, and believe that their competitors want to finish them.

"Courtesy demands that the DCI or KRA summons us over the tax allegations but this has not been done and we see the hand of our competitor in this," she said, as quoted by Standard.
