Speaking to a group of people from the Luhya community in Kibra, the avowedly pro-DP Ruto politician said that he offered to bring Rosemary Odinga to Kamukunji, Kibra after Raila feared that he would be heckled.

Khalwale also urged the ODM leader to stop fighting McDonald Mariga as he is a young man.

"Rosemary told her father, "If you are afraid I will bring the Bullfighter because the people love the Bullfighter. If showed mercy to her daughter when she was starting to enjoy leadership, why is he fighting a young man like McDonald Mariga? The former Kakamega senator said in a video he shared on Twitter, Friday. (0:26-0:50)

Khalwale was in Kibra to drum up support for the governing Jubilee candidate in the constituency's parliamentary race.

Mariga will slug it out against ODM candidate Imran Okoth, Amani National Congress (ANC) candidate Eliud Owalo among others.

Political pundits are keenly following developments in Kibra, saying that it could be a barometre of what will happen in the 2022 presidential election.
