American professional wrestler, actor, rapper, and TV personality John Felix Anthony Cena Jr, popularly known as John Cena finally met with South African rapper Maya Christinah Xichavo Wegerif popularly known by her artistic name Sho Madjozi.
Sho Madjozi recently made headline with her viral song, "John Cena". The song was also well received in Kenya and East Africa at large due to its Swahili lyrics.
On Friday, John Cena had a chance to meet Madjozi when she was performing live on stage. He said the song has inspired people around the world that it is possible to overcome negative energy in life.
"People are finding inspirations in your song, the song is about heartbreaks but it is really cool because it is a high energy song and it takes something negative out of your life, it inspired people across the world," said John Cena in a video shared by Instagram in Bongo five.
Sho Madjozi's John Cena song narrated a story of a heartbroken woman who was being mistreated. She, however, overcame the mistreatment.
"You pretend you ain't seeing me maybe am John Cena. You treated me like a prisoner maybe am Matiba, I don't have cash, no plans that is why you think I have stolen from you, though I love you. I don't know why you treat me like a criminal, we were just together though, someone gonna act rough like John Cena," read part of her lyrics.
