West Mugirango MP Vincent Kemosi while speaking on Friday at Itibo in North Mugirango constituency in Nyamira County where he joined Wetangula to attend a burial function of Boaz Masongo brother to Kennedy Masongo, the Bungoma county assembly secretary challenged the senator to engage serious candidates to back his presidential bid.

"Talk with serious candidates and bring them on board to rally behind you as for us from Gusii region we will work with you closely," said Kemosi as reported by Egesa Fm.

The legislator who is serving his first term in office reiterated the need for Gusii leaders to focus on development adding that continued politicking will hinder development.

Kemosi was elected on a Ford Kenya Party ticket during the August 8 2017 polls.

In a quick rejoinder, Wetangula who doubles as Bungoma county senator while addressing mourners at the burial said he has all it takes to be the president in 2022.

"I am capable of leading this country to the next level. 2022 will not be business as usual for Deputy President William Ruto who is eyeing the seat," stated Wetangula.

The former Senate minority leader vowed to reach out to other leaders to seek their support.
