Renowned socio-political commentator Nerima Wako has weighed in on a court decision that quashed the appointment of former Othaya MP as the chair of the National Employment Authority.

Reacting to the Friday court ruling, she hailed the court's ruling as a win for the young people and a step towards removing what she described as incompetence.

She held the view that unemployment was still an issue to allow incompetence to prevail.

"Young people petitioned the decision to appoint Ms. Wambui Munene. Today Justice Makau agreed she is unqualified and process irregular. We took her to court AND WE WON!! UNEMPLOYMENT IS AN ISSUE, remove incompetence, " the Siasa Place boss wrote.

Her intervention comes on the heels of a ruling that found Mary Wambui to be unqualified for the job that she had been appointed for.

The move by President Uhuru Kenyatta to appoint her for the plum  Employment Authority triggered blow back especially from young people who held the view that she was ill-qualified for the job.

President Uhuru was subjected to blistering criticism with critics saying that the appointment flew in the face of the head of state's pledge to ensure young people get opportunities.

At the time of writing this article, the former legislator had not responded to the ruling that quashed her appointment.
