Sudi who is the Kapseret Member of Parliament appealed to Kisii residents to throw their weight behind Deputy President William Ruto in 2022, arguing that the DP's chances to clinch the presidency are high.

"DP Ruto asked me to bring his condolence message to the bereaved family. As you know DP Ruto is a friend to the Gusii community and therefore I urge residents across the country to rally behind DP Ruto in 2022," said Sudi on Friday.

The vocal legislator said Kisii residents should not view members of the 'Tangatanga' group as enemies, adding that DP Ruto prioritizes development.

"A section of leaders from the Gusii community who have joined 'Tangatanga' movement should not be seen as enemies. It is the constitutional right of the leaders to support DP Ruto to become the next president. Ruto will not sideline the Gusii community should he become president in 2022," said Sudi.

The Jubilee lawmaker defended DP Ruto's numerous donations during fundraisers in Kisii and Nyamira counties, arguing that Ruto is a generous giver.
