Police in Yatta sub-county are investigating an incident where a 30-year-old man was on Thursday evening found dead in Kyua area.
Yatta Police Commander Joseph Karanja confirmed the incident.
Karanja said that the man's body was found dumped behind one house in the area. He said that he was informed about the incident by members of the public.
"We are investigating an incident where a 30-year-old man was found dead behind a woman's house in Kyua, Katangi location," said the police boss when contacted.
He said that after being notified, he sent officers to the scene and found the man oozing blood from the mouth.
"We sent officers to the scene and on arrival, the man was dead with blood oozing from the mouth. We cannot establish what killed the man unless a post mortem is conducted," added the police boss.
He observed that the body was moved to Kitui Level Four Hospital mortuary for preservation awaiting post mortem.
The police boss noted that the police will do whatever it takes to unravel the mystery surrounding the death of the man.
He urged residents who may have information which may help with the incident to report to a nearby police station.
