Kapseret Member of parliament Oscar Sudi who is one of Deputy President William Ruto’s confidants has come out to criticize a group of leaders from the Rift Valley region which visited Baringo Senator Gideon Moi on Sunday.
Through his Facebook page, Sudi slammed the leaders who were led by Elgeyo Marakwet county governor Alex Tolgos, Chama Cha Mashinani party leader Isaac Ruto and former Uasin Gishu gubernatorial aspirant and businessman Kiprop Bundotich Zedekiah alias Buzeki and branded them political remains.
"Mabaki ya Rift Valley wamekutana leo kupanga ubaki na watabaki kukua mabaki tu bado!(The remains of Rift Valley met today to organize remains and they will continue being remains only)" reads Sudi's message.
The main agenda of the meeting which was attended by about ten leaders is not clear although Gideon Moi said that they were attending an ongoing music festival.
"Through co-curricular activities like music festivals, education continues to impart into our children, the deeper sense of our progressive cultures, traditions while simultaneously shedding light about the basal issues in our country," Gideon Moi said in a post which he shared photos with the leaders.
The meeting comes at a time when the Senator and Deputy President William Ruto are locked in a supremacy battle of the Rift Valley region.
This has caused a political division in the region as speculations are rife that the two will face each other in the upcoming presidential elections.
Others who attended the meeting include Moiben lawmaker Silas Tiren, his nominated counterpart Wilson Sossion, former legislators Magerer Langat and Franklin Bett.
