ODM leader Raila Amolo Odinga has joined the family and friends of Court of Appeal Judge Prof Justice James Otieno Odek in mourning his demise.

In a tweet, Raila said that the death of the judge is not only a big blow to his close relatives and family but also the entire nation. 

He noted that the judge had a great contribution towards transforming the judicial system. The African Union Special Envoy also said that the death of the judge has left a void that no one can fill.

 "My deep condolences to the family and friends of Court of Appeal Judge Prof Justice James Otieno Odek. His untimely death robs the Judiciary of a critical member at a very critical time for our country and the Justice system. Wishing peace and strength to the family and his professional colleagues," he tweeted.

Otieno was discovered dead this morning. Confirming the demise, Nyanza Regional Police Commander Dr Vincent Makokha said that the death has left many in shock, adding that a probe into his cause of death has already kicked off. 

Leaders from different parts of the nation have also sent their messages of condolence to the family of the deceased. The burial arrangements of the deceased have kicked off.
