Olunga scored one goal and made an assist, as Kashiwa Reysol thrashed Kofu 4-2 in the Japanese second tier league, known as the J-League Division 2.

The former Gor Mahia striker scored for Kashiwa in the 2nd minute of first half’s added time, after Christiano had scored the first goal in the 36th minute, during the match played at the Hitachi Kashiwa Stadium.

Olunga then crossed the ball from the left side of the field for Ataru Esaka to score in the 60th minute, before Esaka scored again in the 77th minute.

The win propelled Kashiwa to position three on the J-league 2 log with 37 points, same as second placed Kyoto. Montedio Yamagata lead the standings with 40 points after 21 matches.

Olunga was part of the Harambee Stars squad that recently took part in the 2019 AFCON in Egypt.

Kenya was bundled out of the tournament after being beaten 2-0 by Algeria, beating Tanzania 3-2 and then losing 3-0 to Senegal in group C matches.

Olunga scored two goals in Kenya's win over Tanzania.
