Former Presidential candidate Abduba Dida has weighed in on unity of Jubilee Party.
In a tweet on Friday, Dida said that all was well in the party until President Uhuru Kenyatta had a handshake with Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Amolo Odinga.
Dida argued that the party even gave room for the little known MP Paul Mwirigi to win a seat in its stronghold but now things have changed. He alluded that handshake is one of the worst things that has ever happened to the party of Jubilee since it was launched.
“Jubilee was doing exemplary well before it married ODM. It even allowed Hon John Paul Mwirigi, the 22-year-old to win against veterans. ODM would never allow for such. The Handshake is the single biggest disaster in Jubilee's history,” he tweeted.
Dida was reacting to lawyer Ahmednassir Abudallahi after he opined that Jubilee was united and performing well until Uhuru joined hands with Raila. He argued that the party is no longer the same since then.
“JUBILEE was the party for the RULE of LAW and CONSTITUTIONALISM...until it met the HANDSHAKE and BBI...the rest is History,” he tweeted.
The remarks of the duo come amid alleged fallout between Uhuru and Ruto.
