In an interview with Citizen TV on Monday, Ledama began by refuting claims that Kibra's by-election is being used to set an agenda for 2022.

"I do not believe Kibra is being used as a to set the 2022 agenda really," he said.

The lawmaker said that the Former Prime Minister has received overwhelming support from the voters from the constituency because of the love they have for him hence needed not to use the by-election to ascend to power.

"What the right honorable has done for Kibra, no one else has ever done that,"  the senator said. He insisted that the amount of support Raila Odinga has given the people of Kibra cannot be measured because he has always been there for them.

He added that Imran Okoth remains the best bet for the people of Kibra. He went on to ask the people of Kibra to reflect on the fact that Imran has been with them when the brother was feeling unwell and it is high time they gave him the opportunity to continue with the good legacy left behind by the late Ken Okoth.
