Kenya Premier League (KPL) debutants Kisumu All Stars have unveiled 13 new players ahead of the 2019/20 KPL season expected to kick off this weekend.

The short unveiling ceremony was held at the Kisumu County headquarters on Tuesday morning, and presided over by the County Executive Committee (CEC) member for Sports and Tourism Achie Alai Ojany.

“Earlier today the new signings Kisumu ALL STARS players were unveiled at the County Headquarters. The event was presided over by Kisumu County Minister for Sports Achie Ojany Alai,” the team announced on Facebook.

The players unveiled are: Mark Kwasira (offensive midfielder), Maxwell Onyango (midfielder), Charles Bruno (defender), John Otieno Owira (midfielder), Steve Otieno (offensive midfielder), Walter Omondi (defender) and Martin Okumu Oduor (midfielder).

Others are: Anthony Obonyo (goalkeeper), Jeconia Ogendo (defender), Arthur Ochung (defender), Jacob Ombija (defender), Wesley Kemboi (striker)and Michael Owino (striker).

Most of the players were signed from local teams such as Sony Sugar and Western Stima.

The side will open 2019/20 KPL league campaign with a home game against Ulinzi Stars at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu, on Saturday from 2:00pm.

Defending Champions Gor Mahia will then face Tusker FC at the same venue starting 4:15 pm.
