This was after temporary speaker, Chris Omulele dismissed her excuses that she had an emergency and would only be in the legislative house for a short time, throwing her out anyway, and terming her actions unprecedented.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, the Kayole House of Hope Church pastor took issue with the turn of events, bashing the lawmakers for harassing one of their own for doing what others are being lauded for in other parts of the world.

"When a white lady MP breastfed her child in the Australian parliament, all Africans and the world at large praised her, it was breaking news. When one of our own brought her child in parliament we condemned her, called her names," he said.

According to Migwi, the same points at some sort of problem with members of the house and their colleagues across the continent and now claims that what happened in the Parliament amounts to disrespect to women.

"We are our own colonizers and our own worst enemies. Who bewitched Africans? You praise white people but disrespect one of our own for doing the same thing," he added.

He now wants mothers nursing small babies to be allowed to not only take them with them wherever they go but also breastfeed them when need be.

According to Migwi, the same way the MPs were breastfed, every baby should be allowed that right.

"I will say let the mothers breastfeed their children's anywhere they feel it's ok with them, even you waheshimiwas once you were breastfed in matatus with your mother's and some in the bus stage and no one complained," he added.
