The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chairman Wafula Chebukati has pointed out that the campaigns for the Kibra parliamentary by-elections will end today, Monday.
In a tweet, the electoral body cautioned that no one should be found campaigning after 6 pm.
''All campaign activities for Kibra #byelections2019 end today Monday 4th November 2019 at 6 PM. Any form of campaigns after that time is prohibited and will be treated as an electoral offense,'' said IEBC.
Kibra parliamentary by-elections are slated for 7 November 2019.
Campaigns in Kibra have had various opposing groups engaged in chaos, injuring some people, and destroying the property of unknown value.
Jubilee Party led by their candidate McDonald Mariga and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) led by party candidate Imran Okoth have hopes their candidates will win in the upcoming elections.
The two parties have had various rallies in Kibra constituency with thousands of residents attending.
The parliamentary seat which remained vacant after the death of Ken Okoth, who succumbed to cancer, has attracted more than 20 candidates.
Deputy Presidents William Ruto and ODM leader Raila Odinga have made several trips to Kibra in a bid to drum support for their candidates.
IEBC has expressed its preparedness in conducting these elections across Kibra.
