Garissa Woman Representative Anab Subow now says Deputy President William Ruto will eventually succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Even with over 34 months to the next polls, Dr Ruto is fighting rebellion within his Jubilee party, which helped Uhuru reclaim the presidency.
In reference to alleged humiliation the DP is undergoing, Subow says the DP will "clean the mess" once he takes over.
Dr Ruto, she adds, will make a good president in the history of Kenya. She said many Kenyans are supporting the DP's dream.
"The Deputy President H.E William Ruto will ascend to the Presidency in 2022 to put in order everything that was messed up. I and millions of Kenyans believe that he can make a good C-in-C," Anab Subow said in a tweet on Sunday.
This comes amid claims that some government forces blocked Dr Ruto from occupying his coast official residence.
His aide Emmanuel Talam said some people are unhappy with the Deputy President.
“I have no idea why the DP has not moved into the house,” he said.
“He spent (the night) at his usual place when in Mombasa, which is at the English Point Marina. The DP’s residence is complete and ready to be occupied. Probably someone is unhappy that the DP will have a base to coordinate his activities at the coast if he moves in. It is all politics,” added Emmanuel Talam, as quoted by Daily Nation.
