A 65-year-old man was found brutally murdered in Kivi Sub-Location, Kivani Location in Kangundo sub-county.
Confirming the incident, Kivi Area assistant chief Elizabeth Mutinda stated that the man was murdered using a blunt object following injuries on his head.
I was informed by residents about a man who was found dead and when I arrived I found that he had sustained panga injuries on his face and head," said Mutinda.
Mutinda further explained that the wife of the murdered man after being investigated said that the husband had left with two people on Wednesday at 3pm.
"I talked to the wife of the man recognized by his first name as Francis and she said her husband who is a herbal doctor had left with a man and woman after asking for treatment for their sick sister who was married in Kyevaluki," she narrated.
According to the victims wife, her husband left with the two people with an intention of accessing their sick sister and providing medication.
The body of the deseased has been taken to Kangundo District Hospital mortuary as the police launch further investigation into the issue.
