Newly appointed members of the Kisii County Public Service Board were on Wednesday sworn into office in a ceremony graced by Governor James Ongwae and his Deputy Joash Maangi.

The board will be chaired by Evans Mamboleo Moturi. 

Other members include; Patrick Mogusu Momanyi, John Machuka Ndege, Jackson Bogonko Ondiba,  Jeriah Bosibori Sangae and Nancy Nyanganyi Nyamwange. 

Speaking during the exercise, Ongwae challenged the members to discharge their duties with integrity. 

"I urge you to work hard and transparently. Kisii residents expect you to discharge your duties with honesty and maintain a high level of integrity," he noted. 

The governor was categorical that any member whose integrity will be compromised won't be condoned at all. 

He said corruption among the board member should be a thing of the past. 

"You have seen state officers being arrested because of engaging in corruption. On behalf of the people of Kisii county, we expect none of you to engage in dubious dealings," noted the county boss.

On his part, DG Joash Maangi urged the board members to serve the interests of Kisii people.

"Ensure you put the interests of Kisii people first but not self-interests," he stated.
