Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have recovered three stolen vehicles and motorcycle in the neighbouring country, Tanzania.
In a tweet on Thursday morning, the DCI noted that their operation to trace the vehicles and the motorcycle bared fruits.
It is believed the recovered vehicles and motorcycle were stolen in the country before those behind the theft crossing over to Tanzania.
"THREE M/Vehicles & a M/Cycle believed to have been Stolen from Kenya were Recovered at various Locations in #TZ by @DCI_Kenya Detectives in a Four-Day Operation there. Recoveries are; KCH 608S Toyota AXIO, KCV 145L Toyota ISIS, KBU 418C Mitsubishi Lorry(FH) & KMEM 280Z Red BOXER," wrote DCI.
The vehicles and the motorcycle were moved back into the country and are being held at Taveta DCI Offices.
Police noted that the motorcycle is suspected to have been stolen from Muthangari Police Station. However, there were no details on where the vehicles could have been stolen from.
Investigations into the four recoveries are still ongoing.
DCI said Interpol is handling the matter in a bid to unearth how the vehicles and the motorcycle were stolen from the country and moved to Tanzania.
Owners of the said vehicles and the motorcycle have been required to go with all the identification documents to the Taveta police station.
