It started after Abdullahi offered to defend King Kaka in court in case a legal suit is filed against him over the viral song.

The lawyer's offer came barely hours after Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru threatened to sue the musician for allegedly damaging her reputation by mentioning her and linking her to the National Youth Service (NYS) scandal.

"I said and I repeat..I will give legal representation to Kaka against ANYONE who sues him for the lyric #WanjingaNyinyi. I'm of the considered view that no one amongst the ruling elites or the masses was defamed. UGLY, CRASS and LEWD commentaries on soceity are PRIVILEGED," the lawyer tweeted.

The remarks did not augur well with Oguda who reminded Abdullahi that he was Waiguru's lawyer when she was fighting allegations of being involved in the multi-billion scandal during her tenure as Devolution Cabinet Secretary.

"But you represented Waiguru in 2016 when the EACC declined to clear her of these same corruption charges that King Kaka is mentioning in his song. Chief, Abdullahi a time is coming when you will have to choose whether you want to stand with the people or with your stomach," said Oguda, who is also a columnist with Daily Nation.

In a quick rejoinder, the Senior Counsel told off the blogger and warned him against provoking him for a spat on social media.

"You must have realised by now that l always ignore the many silly tweets you tag me. Why do you do that? You can find relevance and fulfilment in life without being a nuisance," Abdullahi said.

Oguda stood his ground and responded: "I wouldn't have been a nuisance had you practiced what you preached. Your standing with Waiguru in 2016 is what has brought problems to King Kaka now, and I will tell you whether you like it or not. Mjinga Wewe."
