Marwa was on Tuesday made a signatory of the accounts, as High Court judge David Majanja reversed his initial ruling freezing the bank accounts.

He ordered that money in the accounts be released to support the children during this festive season, further allowing the society to pick two signatories to serve alongside Marwa.

The judge noted that the move is also aimed at ensuring that the rights of the children under the society are upheld.

“Having regard of the issues raised and to ensure that the rights of children under CWSK are protected, those accounts will strictly operate to take care of the needs of these youngsters,” he said.

However, he ruled that the society's accounts at the Equity Bank and Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) should be left alone until January 13, 2020.

This, he said, is to allow the PS to pick the person who will represent him in the signatory capacity.

Earlier in the day of the ruling, the judge ordered the PS to appear before the court after being told that the parties in the society could not agree on the way forward.
