Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot has poked holes in the debate on the Presidential term limit.
In a tweet on Friday, Cheruyoit said that there are important issues we need to discuss as a nation rather than the extension of the limit for the Presidency.
He alluded that issues such as unemployment, Sports, Social injustices and economic progress of this nation have been ignored at the expense of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) implementation debate.
“I never imagined that in this century, in this Kenya of ours, adults would have a conversation on presidential term limits. Good Lord, then which year shall we talk youth unemployment, social inequalities, sports, GDP...etc We might be young but not powerless. ACTION TIME,” he said.
Before the release of the report, President Kenyatta had hinted that he is ready to come back as the Prime Minister of this nation.
“I do not know the contents of the BBI report yet I hear people claiming Uhuru Kenyatta wants to become the Prime Minister of Kenya. I wouldn’t mind being in leadership in such a post, though let us deal with the current situation first,” Mr Kenyatta said
The claims by COTU boss Francis Atwoli and Former Jubilee Vice-Chairman that Uhuru is going nowhere have caused a stir in the political circle.
