Already, President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga have declared their total support for the initiative which si set to be handed over to be unveiled on Tuesday.

Manyora is of the opinion that as things stand now, if the BBI taskforce was to propose a referendum, it would be terribly rejected by Kenyans, given that it's currently unpopular.

"If it were to be subjected to a vote, it would fail, the reason being; BBI is currently as unpopular as the Punguza Mizigo was popular. Those fronting it must start by knowing that they have a big task ahead," he said.

He spoke on his weekly YouTube political analysis channel Take It or Leave It uploaded on Saturday.

Manyora now says that it is now upon the fronters of the same to popularize it once its released, especially in the instance that it proposes major constitutional changes.

He expressed confidence that the group must have realized this and is most likely in the process of preparing themselves to have the report accepted by the masses.

"Between Tuesday and the time the referendum is taken, a lot will have happened. The people in the BBI team will most likely have sold the BBI report and the substance will have become clearer to the public," he added.

According to Manyora, its also likely that state power will be used to push the suggestions of the report through.
