Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi could now face rebellion from DP William Ruto's Tanga Tanga brigade following his latest outbursts against President Uhuru Kenyatta.
On Wednesday, a furious Sudi accused President Uhuru Kenyatta of failing to lead the country properly, arguing that he's the reason behind ongoing confusions.
Sudi, who is facing forgery case in court, added that the relationship between the DP and Uhuru had deteriorated, adding that time had come for the president to hang boots.
“It is obvious that there is no bromance still existing in the presidency as it was before. All this has been fueled by succession politics and the fight pitting dynasties and hustlers. President Kenyatta should hand over power to someone else… the centre cannot hold anymore,” claimed the straight-shooting MP.
Perceived to be a close ally of DP William Ruto, Sudi's remarks have caused discomfort within Jubilee administration, even as his colleagues rebuked him.
Soy MP Caleb Kositany, a close ally of Ruto, who at some point worked as the DP's aide, asked the fiery MP to go slow henceforth, a statement which speaks a lot.
“Sudi is a leader like any other, and leaders come in different packages. There are those who speak their minds and those who choose to remain silent. Sudi should go slow,” said Mr Kositany.
Kositany becomes the first MP within Tanga Tanga brigade to disown Sudi. His warning means that Sudi may have to stop criticising the president soon.
Baringo Woman Representative Gladwell Cheruiyot on her part, asked Sudi to stop attacking the president however much he differs with him on certain issues.
“As Kalenjins, we don’t go beyond when addressing issues. You may have your issues with the President, but respect his position," said Baringo Woman representative Gladwell Cheruiyot.
While speaking in Kiambu on Thursday, President Uhuru Kenyatta asked politicians to focus on service delivery, adding that he's not bothered by whoever who takes over from him.
