In reference to Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei, Gachoka wondered why Dr Ruto has never commented about an incitement case he's facing.

Last year, Cherargei was arrested and detained over incitement remarks but he's yet to be formally charged.

“Those who are fighting the Deputy President, we (sic) are profiling you ... if you fight [the] DP you’re fighting us. Don’t think he doesn’t have supporters,” Cherargei told mourners.

He added, “As his supporters if you continue fighting the DP we are marking you and profiling you. When the time comes we will deal with you. Even the DP has supporters and should be respected.”

Gachoka insists that Kenyans are keenly watching the DP, arguing that he usually goes mum when his allies are confronted.

"Police acted but DP William Ruto is still silent over the issue. As Nandi Senator is summoned over profiling comments. Kenyans will keenly follow how the DP & his troops will react to these chilling words @KBonimtetezi @KIMANIICHUNGWAH," he said on Wednesday.

Dr Ruto is facing resistance in his quest to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta, who is bound to retirement in 2022.
