Mavoko MP Patrick Makau has slammed ODM leader Raila Odinga over for likening the Kamabas to women.
The MP on Sunday stated that it was insulting and demeaning for Raila to perceive Kambas as weak because Kalonzo agreed to deputize him twice.
"I’m shocked by Raila’s insult to the Akamba community and all women. Ati (sic) we are like women when we agree we agree," said Makau.
"The fact that H.E Kalonzo has agreed to deputize you twice, losing does not qualify you to imagine us as weak," stated the MP adding "We only wanted to win and bring change to this Nation that has been raped economically. Now I believe you do not respect the Kamba nation Nkt (sic)."
Over the weekend, Ukambani governors; Alfred Mutua (Machakos), Prof Kivutha Kibwana (Makueni) and Charity Ngilu (Kitui) joined Raila in Kibra in drumming support for ODM candidate Imran Okoth.
In his speech, Raila stated that the Kamba community was one loyal community that doesn't look back once they decide to support you.
"The Kambas are loyal, they are like women if they say they will give you, they do (Najua wakamba ni waaminifu, ni kama kina mama wakisema watakupatia, watakupatia)," he said.
