The ministry has since secured spaces in surrounding schools to accommodate the school's pupils as was recently communicated by Cabinet Secretary George Magoha.

But Weda on Wednesday faulted the move, finding it 'sickness' for Magoha to see transferring the pupils as the best option, saying that he (Weda) would personally not do it.

"You can't say the school has broken done so you are transferring pupils, that is sickness. I would personally not taken my child out," he said on Wednesday.

He spoke on KBC English Service's The Big Conversation, where he noted that there are other better options.

According to the High Court advocate, it will be tideous for the pupils to schools to access the new achools which are far from their homes, considering that they are little children.

He said that the solution would be to direct the school to erect temporary classroom structures while putting up better structures to replace the poor and collapsed buildings.

"The solution is not transferring students and closing the school. He could have told the school to put up temporary structures, even mabati ones, while building others," he added.

While a number of parents have began tranfering their children, others have called upon the government to reopen the school, praising it for its good academic performance.
