English Premier League (EPL) side Tottenham Hotspurs found themselves on the receiving end after congratulating Kenya's Victor Wanyama following a 3-2 win over Tanzania in the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) Group C clash.
Tottenham had tweeted to wish Wanyama all the best but club's fans used the opportunity to demand that they announce new signings ahead of next season.
"Best of luck to @VictorWanyama and Kenya who face Tanzania in today's #AFCON match," Tottenham tweeted.
The club also congratulated the Kenyan captain following the win.
Many of those who replied to the tweet asked when the London-based side will be unveiling new signings, specifically highly-rated teenager Jack Clarke and Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.
The two have been linked to the EPL side.
