Controversial lawyer Miguna Miguna has now given his views after State House Secretary of Innovations and Diaspora Communications Dennis Itumbi was arrested.
In a tweet on Wednesday, Miguna stated that Itumbi was caught in between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto's war.
"Dennis Itumbi is trending today because Despot Uhuru Kenyatta has arrested him. Itumbi is just a collateral damage in a proxy war Uhuru Kenyatta has declared on his deputy @WilliamsRuto. The lesson should be learnt by @RailaOdinga: The Mafia has no "brother" or "friend," he said.
Itumbi was arrested in Nairobi by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) who took him to their headquarters for questioning. He was later locked at Muthaiga Police Station waiting to be arraigned in court on Thursday.
No official statement over his arrest has been released with various people now speculating that he could have been arrested in connection with the fake letter plotting to assassinate Ruto.
Police had earlier revealed that the authors of the letter had been identified, though they didn't reveal their names. It was alleged that the author came from DP Ruto's communication department.
