Dagoretti North Member of Parliament Simba Arati has said President Uhuru Kenyatta should have fired more Cabinet Secretaries, in his recent government reorganisation.
Speaking on Wednesday night during an interview on Radio Citizen, Arati was of the view that there are CSs who are not do doing a job, and should have been sent home.
According to Arati, Energy CS Charles Keter should have been sent home. He argued that it under Keter's tenure that Kenyans continue being subjected to high cost of electricity.
"He should have sacked at least three as there are people who are not working. People like Keter, who is just looking on as Kenyans are being fleeced in power costs. (Kuna watu hawafanyi kazi, angefuta kama watatu. Watu kama Keter, stima wakenya wanaibiwa na yeye amekaa akiangalia)," he said.
Arati appeared to suggest that President Kenyatta made few changes in the Cabinet to avoid wrangles between him and his deputy William Ruto.
"This government was formed on a 50-50 basis, the president might have been avoiding wrangles. (Serikali hii iliundwa kwa misingi ya 50-50, huenda hakuiguza sana maana hataki mambo mingi)," he added.
