Speaking on Monday during an interview on Citizen TV, Ruto said time has come for Kenyans to review the constitution.

According to CCM party leader, change is necessary for Kenyans to enjoy the fruits of devolution.

"There is a misconception, especially among the elderly, that when their own is in leadership, it is a gateway to resources. The idea of winner takes it all also makes politics a matter of life and death," he said.

He noted that some leaders in power have been obsessed with the same until they no longer think about the masses, adding that power should be handled with some form of soberness.

"Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely," he said.

Ruto divulged that an all-inclusive government is the best solution for Kenya, adding that leaders should be held accountable for their actions.

"We must have a government that is accountable on the floor of the house," he said.

Meanwhile, President Uhuru Kenyatta and his handshake partner Raila Odinga are set to receive the Building Bridges Initiative report later today.
