Drivers are always advised to adhere to the rules so that they avoid landing on these mistakes.

One of the rules includes never switch lane while in a roundabout, remain in your lane until you have exited the circle and such

Here are common mistakes drivers make on roundabouts;

1. Stopping in the middle of a roundabout for no good reasons

It would be unwise to stop your car in roundabout without apparent reason. This could cause a traffic snarl up and interfere with the traffic flow. Never stop in the circle. On the off chance, you experience any mechanical hitch, you better stop after you have exited the circle than stopping.

2. Entering roundabout without yielding to oncoming traffic

Take note of the yield signs before entering the circle. The signage helps in preventing collisions and traffic jam. Ignoring them can put you at a risk. You may cause a multi-car collision or even a snarl up. Always ensure you have checked the signage before getting into the circle, it is very important.

3. Crossing a lane of traffic to get to your exit

Changing a lane may cause confusion among the drivers, motorists and disrupt the traffic low. Always stick to your lane until you exit. Know which lane you should be before entering the circle.
