Renowned Citizen Television journalist Stephen Letoo has bagged the Maa Male Media personality of the year award.
Mr Letoo beat five other contestants to take home the prestigious award during an event held at the Carnivore Restaurant on Friday.
He expressed his joy at bagging the award in an interview with Citizen Digital.
His advice to those wishing to achieve what he has achieved: Don't give up.
"Winning is great, sure, but if you are really going to do something in life, the secret is learning how to lose. Nobody goes undefeated all the time. If you can pick up after a crushing defeat, and go on to win again, you are going to be a champion someday," he said.
The journalist has been doing a wide range of stories with his niche being political stories that he has become a household name for.
Some of the stories have seen him come face to face with danger and even get injured for it.
In 2018, while covering the Miguna Miguna deportation saga at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), he sustained injuries and had to be hospitalised.
The award was given to him in recognition of his contribution towards the empowerment of the Maa community and raising the bar of journalism in Kenya.
