A youth leader in Kisii County has challenged both elected and non-elected political leaders in the region to unite.
Isaac Motari who is the Kisii County Jubilee Party youth secretary-general argued that the disunity among Kisii leaders will slow down development.
Speaking at Gesero market on Sunday, the vocal youth leader cum politician said leaders who have been in the political arena for a long period of time should lead by example.
"I am calling on our leaders whether elected or not to unite and push for development so that our people can live good lives. Any disunity will hinder development in the county," he stated.
Motari who has declared interest to run for Bomariba MCA seat in 2022 also appealed to leaders to speak in one voice going forward irrespective of the political parties they belong into.
According to the youth leader, politicians should not take advantage of jobless youths to advance their political selfishness.
"Our youth should not be incited to abuse elected leaders on social media or at rallies. It is high time political leaders empowered young people so that they can venture into small businesses to enable them to earn a living," he noted.
