The Former Presidential candidate thanked all those who supported her as she sought to oust Waiguru. Karua, who had moved to the Supreme Court after the Court of Appeal dismissed her case, said she fought a good fight.

She, however, said she has accepted the outcome of the apex court in the country despite losing the battle to her arch-rival.

She went on to thank her team for the standing with her at the time she needed them most.

“Many thanks to those who stood with me in my judicial marathon. All is not lost there is much more to do,” she said.

Karua had faulted the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) for declaring  Waiguru governor in a contest she claims was marred by all sorts of illegalities and irregularities.

According to Karua, the results did not reflect the will of the voters. She claimed her rival has bribed voters to win their votes.

The court dismissed her case for lack of merit after months of consideration.

"The petition appeal dated 25th January this year is hereby dismissed. Cost of proceedings from the High Court to  Court of appeal by this court shall be borne by each party. And this is the decision of the Chief Justice David Maraga, M. K Ibrahim, A.C Wanjala, Njoki Ndungu and myself dated today, "read part of the ruling as delivered on Tuesday at the Supreme Court.
