Speaking on Wednesday during KTN's Point Blank Show, Mr Kuria said his real supporters are ordinary people, adding that they have never let him down.

He dismissed his critics, saying that 'they do not live on Earth', adding that his focus is to uplift the lives of people.

"I have a problem dealing with elites, twitteraties and KOT’s. I belong to the people down there, they understand me. You guys live on Jupiter, we live on earth," said Kuria.

The second term legislator has announced his bid to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta and has often been targeting to inherit the Central Kenya support base from Uhuru.

In January this year, Kuria found himself in the wrong books of President Uhuru Kenyatta, after he accused the Jubilee administration of sidelining the Mt Kenya region in terms of development.

However, an angry Uhuru dismissed Kuria, insisting that he has the mandate to serve all Kenyans regardless of where they come from.

“I am not a person who is easily scared… Those going around playing petty politics I want to tell them this. We will not launch development projects based on which region a leader comes from. We want all 45 million Kenyans to benefit, we want all corners of this country to grow,” said Kenyatta during the commissioning of the Mama Ngina waterfront regeneration project.

“We want a country where every single citizen is entitled to development regardless of where the leader comes from. Let those fools leave me alone (Kwa hivyo hao washenzi waachane na mimi)," he added.
