Speaking on Thursday at Kerina in Bonchari Sub-County, Riana Ward MCA Vincent Moisabi Ariemba claimed that the office of the deputy county commissioner has never been opened to allow residents to access services.

The vocal MCA threatened to mobilise residents to hold demonstrations on Monday if the offices will not be opened.

"My people have been unable to access government services because the offices are locked. The person deployed to serve the people is earning a salary without doing anything. I will not allow my people to continue suffering. By Monday next week if the office of the DCC will not be opened we will be forced to go on a rampage to push for the removal of the DCC," said Ariemba.

Ariemba challenged Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i to intervene in the matter in a bid to ensure residents in Kerina have access to government services.

"The people of Riana and Bonchari at large are not in Luo land. I urge Matiang'i to ensure the DCC office in Kerina is operational 24 hours," said the Wiper Party-allied MCA.
