Speaking during a church service at the St Anthony Engineer Catholic Church in North Kinangop, Nyandarua County on Sunday, he cautioned area leaders who have been trying to sway the region that they stand no chance.

Kamanda noted that the direction will come from Uhuru, with regards to the 2022 general election, insisting that the Head of State remains the region's kingpin.

"President Uhuru is still central's kingpin and I believe that when the time comes, he will show us the (political) direction to take," he said as quoted by Nation.

He urged Jubilee party leaders to stop politicking and give the president time to deliver his promises to the Kenyan people.

According to the parliamentarian, who was accompanied by Ntonyiri MP Maoka Maore, area woman MP Faith Gitau and Kinangop MP Zachary Kweya, the group should actually be helping Uhuru with his agenda.

"Let us respect each other as leaders and stop 2022 politics until the time comes. Let us support President Kenyatta in his development agenda," he added.
