Last Friday, the two held a closed-door meeting in State House where they reportedly agreed to hold a Jubilee party PG on Tuesday.

And a Borabu based politician says the DP, through his allies, had issued the DP with three conditions that were to be included in Tuesday's meeting which has since been cancelled.

"I am aware that he had raised some critical issues which were to be discussed. Top among them, he wants to get more details about Uhuru and Raila Odinga's MOU.

"Then, he wants to know whether Uhuru will support his 2022 bid. Further, the DP wants to know why the president uses derogatory remarks when addressing him," said the politician.

On Monday, Jubilee Secretary General Raphael Tuju denied reports that the meeting was scheduled on Tuesday.

Last week, Ruto's ally Kipchumba Murkomen, openly complained that the president was demeaning the DP in publicly following his decision to label him as a man 'loitering aimlessly'.

It is not clear however why the president cancelled the meeting despite having agreed to proceed with it.
