There were reports last week that President Uhuru Kenyatta's team asked for the report, forcing the team to delay in completing it's work.

BBI taskforce team is set to handover final report to President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga any time from now after competing the task.

"Ignore those rumours. The report has not been handed over to anybody. There was no such a thing," Mr Mwangi said.

A team allied to Deputy President William Ruto has vowed to shoot down the report, arguing that Kenya is not ready for a Parliamentary system of government.

Speaking in Kilifi on Saturday, ODM leader Raila Odinga wondered why some people are opposed to the report yet it's not yet out.

According to the details from the secretariat, the team had 70 meetings across the country, including one in every county, two in Nairobi and 18 with stakeholders before they concluded their public hearings.

The BBI team’s consultations, Mwangi says, were the most thorough in the country.

“We also received 1,733 written memorandums from Kenyans from all walks of life, we analysed them and every big and small proposal captured,” he says.

“When we met, we agreed that everything we do be guided by consensus and not hardening of positions. It worked well,” he adds.
