In an interview with NTV AM Live on Tuesday, the former lawmaker said Raila has been reading from the same script since 2017, adding that he is likely to be in for a rude shock in 2022.

“In the lead to the 2017 election, Raila was playing from the same script. Raila’s corner has run out of ideas,” he said.

Khalwale, who has been very vocal on matters of national interest, also challenged Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo to explain why ODM top brass have not sued him and Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru after they claimed that Raila is likely to work with the leaders from the region.

“If the paper is wrong and you have decided to sue them, why haven’t you sued Waiguru? Why haven't you sued me? When I took the same position,” he added.

Raila has since dismissed claims that he is eyeing any political seat before 2022. However, there are speculations that he could be on the ballot in 2022.
