A group of angry youths on Friday disrupted a press conference by Malindi Member of Parliament Aisha Jumwa.
Aisha Jumwa was speaking about the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report in Mombasa, when the youths came in and begun shouting forcing the media to cut short the interview.
It is not yet clear as to why the youths disrupted the press conference.
Just before the disruption, Jumwa was addressing the claims of an alleged showdown at Mombasa during the planned BBI rally that will take place this weekend.
According to Jumwa, the allegations of a showdown are being propagated by the media.
She claimed that everyone was free to attend the BBI rally.
"Like I said this is an free event and everyone can attend. Therefore most of these allegations are just being hyped by journalists. Because most of the stories I see about the alleged showdown are just the creation of the media.
The interview with the Malindi MP was cut short by rowdy youths.
