In reference to the trending hashtag #RogueJudgeJoelNgugi, Murkomen said that it is saddening that Kenyans have decided to take such a route

Justice Ngugi has found himself on the spot over his recent rulings.

On June, 21st, he declared that men can be primary caregivers in case of divorce.

“I condemn the coordinated, persisted and virulent attacks directed at our judges including the hopeless trend # RogueJudgeJoelNgugi. We may disagree with the decisions of the court but we must remain measured and objective in our criticism @ahmednasirlaw,” Murkomen tweeted.

Lawyers Ahmednassir Abdullahi and Nelson Havi have also condemned the incessant attacks to the judges.

The two claimed the hashtag was being sponsored by operatives in the Office of the President through the infamous 36 bloggers.

“The hashtag #RogueJudgeJoelNgugi like all the hashtags that target judges in Kenya is the WORK of a SPECIAL UNIT in the OFFICE of the PRESIDENT, DEPARTMENT of INTERNAL SECURITY...never seen a silly/stupid enterprise of a government like this war on Kenyan judges @lawsocietykenya,” Ahmednasir said.

“36 Bloggers on #RogueJudgeJoelNgugi and #WastageInJudiciary. This is the level of contempt and ridicule that the Kenyan Judiciary has been relegated to. Not because of any incompetence, corruption or underperformance, but because the Executive wants a classic Police State,” Havi added in a tweet also.
