Arrested and facing prosecution, outspoken former Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire mobilised thousands of supporters paralyzing business in his Keroka home turf.
The 2016 incident that saw him along with Moses Kuria, Florence Mutua, Johnston Muthama among others arrested over incitement and hate speech.
But at home, thousands gathered to along the streets carrying placards in condemnation of President Uhuru Kenyatta's government over what they called harassment.
Police were deployed for five days in all major towns in Kitutu Masaba as Bosire's supporters engaged them in running battles.
Days after his release, Mr Bosire, in the company of Raila Odinga among other leaders, held major rallies in Keroka and Manga stadiums where riot act was read to Jubilee adminstration.
When he lost later in 2017 to Shadrack Mose, Bosire accused State House of instigating his ouster, blaming Interior CS Fred Matiang'i of orchastrating the plan.
The ODM Treasurer, arguably one of the fiercest critic of Jubilee adminstration, has since supported handshake and is reportedly planning to run for Nyamira gubernatorial elections.
