Controversial lawyer Miguna Miguna has `sensationally claimed that Kisumu Court of Appeal Judge Otieno Odek was murdered.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Miguna, without providing evidence, cast doubts into the postmortem results that indicated that Justice Odek succumbed to a blood clot in his right leg blocking his pulmonary thromboembolism.
The lawyer who was controversially deported to Canada at the height of political tension in the country after the controversial swearing-in of ODM leader Raila Odinga as the people' president further criticized Chief Government Pathologist Johansen Oduor who headed the postmortem exercise.
"Johansen Oduor believes, wrongly, that Kenyans are fools. Justice Professor James Otieno Odek was murdered, his naked and mutilated body placed in his bed and sex pills planted there. "Blood clot" is another term for "State cover up," Miguna wrote on Facebook.
The judge's body was discovered at his apartment in Milimani Estate, Kisumu on December 16, 2019.
Police have recorded statements from several individuals even as they probe whether Odek was killed or not.
A high-ranked officer at the office of the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) told Capital FM, that they are still analysing Justice Odek's phone calls even.
The burial date for the late court of appeal Judge has been set for this Friday in Asembo, Siaya County.
Body viewing will be on Thursday at the Kisumu Law courts and later mass at St Paul’s Memba Church in Asembo.
