Speaking on Thursday during the celebration of Jamhuri Day at Nyamira county assembly grounds, Governor John Nyagarama said residents should read the BBI report carefully.

"I urge residents to maintain peace and read the BBI report individually because the report will have an impact whether one is rich or poor. Residents should ensure their input is felt in the implementation of the BBI report," said Nyagarama.

The county boss warned local politicians against reading the BBI report on behalf of the electorates saying everyone should get the report and read it.

According to Nyagarama, politicians may mislead members of the public using the BBI report to gain their selfish political interests.

"Politicians should give voters humble time to read the BBI report on their own before deciding whether to back it up or not. BBI report should not be a political debate," he stated.

Further, Nyagarama challenged residents across the county to share with the less fortunate in the society during this festive season and appealed to police officers to maintain law and order.
