Through lawyer James Orengo, Orange Democratic Movement party accused IEBC of playing sinister games in Kibra by-election scheduled for Thursday (tomorrow).

Justice James Makau on Wednesday ruled that it's legal for all parties to access complete voters register, adding that the register contains public information.

ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna welcomed the decision, arguing that it was expected since the 'law is very clear'.

"The High Court has ordered the @IEBCKenya to supply @TheODMparty and the Kibra Voters the complete register with voters ID details in compliance with the Law. The law Is the law," he said.

On Tuesday, IEBC refused to give a register with full information, arguing that it breaches confidentiality of the registered people.

“Whatever information provided is sufficient for verification, unless ODM has undisclosed reasons. If personal identification marks are given to the petitioner, the role of verification on the part of IEBC will be put at risk,” said lawyers Edwin Mukele and Mahat Somane for the IEBC.

ODM had fielded Imran Okoth in the race to succeed late Kibra MP Ken Okoth. Jubilee will be represented by McDonald Mariga while ANC has fielded Eliud Owalo.
