Eldoret politician-cum-businessman David Letting alias Kokwas now blames Kipkenyo MCA for planning the chaos that was witnessed on Sunday at Kipkaren.
He claimed that the MCA transported goons from Simat and brought them to Kipkaren to attack residents.
"I want to urge the police to investigate the area MCA for the fracas that took place on Sunday. He was the one who brought his goons to attack people in Kipkaren and thereafter, putting the blame on me leading to my arrest," said Letting at Yamummbi Police Post on Thursday.
Letting together with four other individuals were on Sunday arrested after residents stormed Yamumbi police post demanding his arrest for allegedly terrorising residents using a criminal gang.
"If the police are serious on investigating what happened, the area MCA should also be arrested since he is the master planner and knows what happened. Why are the police playing double standards? he asked.
However, the area MCA Hillary Rono said he has never been involved in any criminal activities and that Letting is using his name to get political mileage.
He further said the goons that were involved in the Sunday incident were sponsored by Letting.
