Politician Mohammed Abduba Dida has questioned Deputy President William Ruto's project launches. In a tweet on Sunday, Mr Dida took issue with Ruto's development tour of Embu county, claiming that he relaunched an already launched road project in the process.
He was apparently referring to the coanteuction of the 18 kilometre Siakago-Kititiri Road in Mbeere South, which the DP on Sunday launched on Saturday.
The former presidential aspirant raised concern that Ruto might with time take his habit to the next level, and begin relaunching projects launched longer ago.
He claimed that concerns are on the ground that the DP might soon go for projects launched by founding father Jomo Kenyatta, Daniel Moi and Mwai Kibaki.
"Today in Embu, the DP relaunched a road that had been launched by The President in 2017. His handlers said that he was launching the new contractor! Residents are now worried that he might go back to relaunch projects initially launched by presidents Moi, Kenyatta and Kibaki!" he wrote.
Ruto is not new to questions about his launches, with some of his critics also accusing him of using the same as an early mode of campaign, three years to his 2022 presidential elections.
However, he has been saying that he is spreading development to Kenyans, which is the job he was elected alongside President Uhuru Kenyatta to do.
